When checking the engine oil level or condition, change the engine oil if necessary (including oil filter) as follows:
1. After turning off the engine, wait a few minutes for the oil to collect in the oil pan.
2. Remove the oil filler cap.
3. Remove the oil drain plug and drain the oil.
4. After the oil has completely drained, tighten the oil drain plug to 30-40 N·m (22~30 lb-ft).
5. Replace the oil filter using an oil filter wrench.
Important: Whenever you change the engine oil, also change the oil filter. When installing a new oil filter, apply engine oil to the oil filter seal.
