Checking the engine on a car after repair (Chevrolet Niva 1)

After installing the engine on the vehicle, carefully check that it is installed correctly.

Let the engine run for a while and then check:

• check for coolant and fuel leaks in the pipe connections, tighten the connections if necessary;
• is the throttle valve fully opened and closed? Adjust the drive if necessary;
• alternator drive belt tension, adjust if necessary;
• reliability of electrical equipment wire connections and operation of control lamps in the instrument cluster.

Warning: Do not test the engine or vehicle on a treadmill without additional rollers under the front wheels.
