2. After stopping the engine, wait a few minutes for the oil to drain into the crankcase.
3. Remove the dipstick, wipe off any oil and reinsert it into place until it stops.
4. Remove the dipstick again.
5. Check the oil level on the dipstick. The oil level should be between the MIN and MAX marks.


6. If the oil level is below the MIN mark, add engine oil of the appropriate type. Exceeding the engine oil level may damage the engine. If the oil level is above the MAX mark, remove excess oil.
