When operating a vehicle in difficult conditions, it is necessary to reduce the intervals for a number of types of maintenance.
Severe vehicle operating conditions include:
- regular short distance driving,
- prolonged engine operation at idle speed,
- operating the vehicle in very dusty conditions,
- driving in mountainous areas or regularly towing a trailer,
- frequent use of low gears (regular driving in the urban cycle).
In case of vehicle operation under the above conditions:
- engine oil and oil filter are changed every 7500 km,
- check and, if necessary, replace the air filter every 7500 km or 6 months (dusty area),
- the brake fluid and clutch release fluid are replaced every 15,000 km (mountainous terrain, regular towing).
