It is convenient for visual inspection (the car is lifted) check the oil level in the manual transmission.
Checking the oil level in the manual transmission
Unscrew the inspection hole plug and make sure that the oil level with the manual transmission warmed up coincides with the lower edge of the inspection hole. If the oil level is lower, add it. If it is higher, allow the excess oil to drain into a container (see Fig. "Gearbox oil change").
Attention: if the oil level does not correspond to the recommended level, it will disrupt the lubrication conditions of the cylindrical gear reducer, which is essentially a manual transmission.

Checking the oil level in the automatic transmission
To ensure the normal operation and durability of the automatic transmission, it is necessary to maintain the transmission fluid at a sufficient level. Too high or too low a level of the transmission fluid may cause a malfunction.
The working fluid level must be checked with the engine running.
The automatic transmission selector must be in position P.
The engine and gearbox must be warmed up to normal operating temperature.
The car must be parked on a level horizontal surface.
The normal operating temperature of the automatic transmission fluid (70-80°C) will be reached after a run of approximately 20 km.
To check the oil level in the automatic transmission, use the oil dipstick located in the engine compartment.
Checking the level
If the fluid is opaque or has changed color, it must be replaced.
A decrease in fluid level indicates a leak in the automatic transmission.
In this case, you should contact an authorized Chevrolet dealer for repair as soon as possible.
Make sure that no dirt or foreign matter gets into the transmission fluid.
Contaminated fluid can cause serious damage to your automatic transmission and lead to costly repairs.
1. Start the engine.
2. Warm up the engine until the automatic transmission fluid temperature reaches approximately 70°–80°C
3. Move the selector lever from position "P" to position "1" and back to "P".
When shifting the lever to each position, wait a few seconds for the selected gear to fully engage.
4. Remove the dipstick and wipe it clean.

5. Insert the dipstick into place until it stops.
6. Remove the dipstick again.
7. Make sure the oil on the dipstick is clear.
8. Check the fluid level. The fluid level should be between the MIN and MAX marks of the "hot" zone (see picture below).

9. If the level is below the MIN mark of the "hot" zone, add the amount of liquid required to reach the MAX level.
