Checking the oil level in the rear axle gearbox (Chevrolet Tahoe 1)

1. Place the vehicle on an inspection pit, overpass, or on stands, making sure that the vehicle is horizontal.

2. Unscrew the filler plug in the gearbox housing (see photo).



3. Insert your finger into the hole and check by touch that the oil level is near the bottom edge of the hole. If the oil level is insufficient, add oil of the required grade through the inspection hole.

4. Tighten the plug.
