Attention! Models from 1996 are equipped with an air filter clogging indicator, which is located in the air duct between the mass air flow sensor and the air filter. When the filter is dirty, the green indicator changes color to orange. If replacement is required, the inscription appears "CHANGE AIR FILTER". There is a reset button on the top of the module filter that should be pressed after replacing the filter.
1. The air filter should be changed periodically, at the specified intervals.
2. On 1987-1995 Throttle Body Injection (TBI) models, the air cleaner is located in a conventional housing mounted on top of the throttle body. Remove the wing nut and housing cover.
3. On SFI models from 1996 onwards, the air cleaner is located in a plastic housing mounted on the right side wall of the engine compartment. Press the clips and remove the cover.
4. On TBI models, remove the filter element from the housing (see photo). On SFI models, lift the air duct, pull and twist to remove the filter element, (see photo).

5. Install the new filter element in place and install the housing cover.
