Checking the Transfer Case Oil Level (4WD Models Only) (Chevrolet Tahoe 1)

1. Unscrew the upper plug on the side of the transfer case housing (see photo).

2. The oil level should be near the bottom edge of the hole. If the oil level is insufficient, add oil of the required grade through the filler hole. Tighten the plug. Make sure there is no leakage over several kilometers.
