Caution: To prevent contamination from entering the engine, the area around the injectors must be cleaned before servicing.
39. To remove the injectors, pull the end of the clamp slightly and remove it from the fuel injection pipe, then remove the injector.
40. Inspect the injector sealing rings. They must be replaced every time the fuel rail is removed (see illustration).
13.40 If you are going to use the old injector, install new sealing rings
41. Install new sealing rings on the injectors and lubricate them with engine oil.
42. Install the injectors on the fuel distribution pipe.
43. Secure the injectors.
