Polishing a car body is not as simple a process as it may seem. This section discusses methods of polishing the car body using non-professional means intended for amateur use. Such tools allow you to get a good result quite quickly, but do not require special skills. Don't expect miracles: if there are strong chips or deep scratches on the body surface, it is better to contact a specialized workshop to remove them.
Before polishing, it is necessary to thoroughly clean and wash the body, the work is shown in the section "Car care". We carry out polishing in the following order.
Recommendation. Before starting work, read the instructions included with the polish.
If the car is not new, then its paintwork must be prepared: cleaned of oxides and small scratches removed before applying a protective polish. To do this, we use a polish to remove scratches.
1. Apply it to a special applicator.

2. Apply the polish evenly to the car body using circular motions without pressing too hard.
Let the polish dry for a few minutes until a white matte coating appears.

Recommendation. Do not apply polish to the entire body at once, treat it element by element.
3. Using special polishing cloths, polish the surface in circular motions until the applied polish is completely used up and the surface becomes shiny.

4. Next, you need to apply a protective polish. There are many types of protective polishes, but their functions and application methods are the same. Therefore, choose the one that you personally like the most. We would just like to add that if the paintwork is not new, has faded or has small chips, it is better to use a protective polish with a color pigment that matches the color of the car.
We apply the protective polish to a special cloth and apply it evenly, without pressing hard, in circular motions to the car body. Let the polish dry for a few minutes until a white coating appears.
5. Using circular movements, polish the surface until a deep shine appears.
