ESC effectively helps keep the car on the trajectory of movement. However, it should be remembered that its possibilities are not unlimited.
Warning! ESC is designed to correct minor driving errors of novice drivers. If the speed is significantly exceeded or some other serious error is made, ESC will not be able to prevent an accident!
Its serviceability can be judged by the indicator lamp lighting up for a short time after the ignition is turned on.

If the lamp does not light up when the ignition is turned on, goes out after a few seconds, or lights up while the car is moving, the system is faulty - for diagnostics, you must contact a specialized service station.
Note: Brief flashing of the lamp while driving is not a sign of a malfunction, but only indicates that the system has been triggered.
The ESC system includes anti-lock braking system (ABS), traction control system and emergency brake assist system.
The traction control system reduces engine torque and applies the brakes to the drive wheels if wheel spin occurs when the accelerator pedal is depressed.
The emergency braking system monitors the speed and force with which the brake pedal is pressed and, if pressed sharply, provides the maximum possible braking force on the wheels. Remember that as soon as the pedal force decreases, the system will stop assisting the driver.
But sometimes this system does more harm than good. For example, when the car is stuck in loose snow or sand, the ESC engaged during slippage will consciously reduce the traction force on the wheels. In such cases, it makes sense to disable it. To do this, you need to press and hold the switch on the right side of the center console for a while.

Pressing the switch for two seconds will turn off only the traction control system. The corresponding control lamp 1 will light up.

If you hold the switch down for approximately 7 seconds, the ESC system will be completely switched off and another indicator lamp 2 will come on. The ABS will remain on.
To activate the traction control and ESC systems, simply press the switch briefly. If you turn the ignition off and on, the systems will turn on automatically.
