Sockets for connecting additional electrical equipment
Caution: Leaving electrical equipment on for an extended period of time without the engine running may drain the battery. The manufacturer's warranty does not cover any possible malfunctions caused by incorrect installation of additional electrical equipment.
1. Electrical sockets are used to connect additional electrical equipment, such as cell phones, CB radios, etc. The maximum current consumption should not exceed 20 amperes.
2. To use the socket, remove the protective cover from it (see illustration). The two front electrical outlets are located in the lower center of the control panel. Your vehicle may also be equipped with a power outlet located in the rear of the center console. When not in use, sockets must be covered with protective covers.
3.2 Socket for connecting additional equipment
Caution: Installing some types of additional electrical equipment on your vehicle may damage or interfere with the normal operation of the vehicle's systems. Such defects are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Be sure to consult your dealer before installing any additional electrical equipment, and never use any equipment that draws more current than the fuse can protect.
When installing optional electrical equipment, follow the proper installation and wiring instructions included with that equipment.
3. The plugs of some electrical appliances may not be compatible with the vehicle's electrical outlets. Using them may cause the vehicle's fuse or adapter to blow. Consult your dealer for applicability of accessory plugs.
Caution: Electrical sockets are intended only for connecting connectors to additional electrical appliances. Electrical outlets must not be used to secure any type of additional electrical equipment. Improper use of electrical outlets can cause damage that will not be covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
