Sockets for connecting additional electrical equipment
Caution: Leaving electrical equipment on for long periods of time with the engine not running may cause the battery to discharge. The manufacturer's warranty does not cover any possible malfunctions caused by improper installation of additional electrical equipment.
1. Electrical outlets are used to connect additional electrical equipment such as cell phones, CB radios, etc. The maximum current consumption should not exceed 20 amperes.
2. To use the socket, remove the protective cover from it (see illustration). Two front electrical outlets are located in the lower center of the instrument panel. Your vehicle may also be equipped with a power outlet located in the rear of the center console. When sockets are not in use, they must be covered with protective covers.
3.2 Socket for connecting additional equipment
Warning: Installing some types of additional electrical equipment on your vehicle may cause damage or impair the normal operation of vehicle systems. Such faults are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Always consult your dealer before installing any additional electrical equipment, and never operate any equipment that draws more current than the fuse rating.
When installing additional electrical equipment, follow the instructions for proper installation and connection supplied with that equipment.
3. The plugs of some electrical appliances may not be compatible with the electrical outlets in your vehicle. Using them may cause the vehicle fuse or adapter to blow. Consult your dealer for accessory plug compatibility.
Caution: Electrical outlets are intended only for connection to additional electrical appliances. It is prohibited to use electrical sockets to attach any type of additional electrical equipment. Improper use of electrical outlets may result in damage that will not be covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
