1. Considering the complexity of these works, as well as the need to use special equipment, it is recommended to entrust the maintenance of valves, seats and guides to specialists in auto repair shops.
2. During the work, the valves and springs are removed, the valves and their seats are mechanically processed or replaced, the guides are processed, and the valve springs, holders and crackers are inspected and replaced (if necessary), replacing valve seats, assembling the valve mechanism and checking the installation height of the springs. If necessary, mechanical treatment of the cylinder head surface is performed. It should be noted that some heads have a minimum allowable height, so instead of processing in this case it is necessary to replace them.
3. After the valves have been serviced in the workshop, the cylinder head acquires the characteristics of a new element. Before installing on the engine, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the head: remove all metal and abrasive particles that may remain after mechanical processing. It is recommended to blow out all lubrication and cooling channels, as well as bolt holes, with compressed air.
