Warning: You must wait until the engine has completely cooled down before performing this procedure
1. Remove the intake air duct along with the resonator (see subsection 9).
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle body (see illustration).
3. Disconnect the evaporative vapor recovery system canister purge line from the throttle block (see illustration).

4. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the throttle block along with the gasket.
5. After removing any remaining gasket from the throttle body and intake manifold surfaces, install a new gasket.
Caution: Do not clean the surface of the throttle body with petroleum solvent or using a sharp tool, as this may damage the element.
6. Install the throttle block and tighten the mounting bolts to the required torque.
7. The remainder of the installation procedure is performed in the reverse order of removal.
