Throttle body — removal and installation (Chevrolet Trailblazer 1)

Warning: Allow the engine to cool completely before performing this procedure


1. Remove the intake air duct together with the resonator (see subsection 9).

2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle body (see illustration).

3. Disconnect the purge line of the fuel vapor recovery system canister from the throttle body (see illustration).

4. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the throttle block together with the gasket.

5. After removing any remaining gasket from the surfaces of the throttle body and intake manifold, install a new gasket.

Caution: Do not clean the throttle body surface with petroleum solvent or using a sharp tool, as this may damage the component.


6. Install the throttle body and tighten the mounting bolts to the required torque.

7. The rest of the installation procedure is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
