Removal



1. Disconnect the "-" battery cable.

2. Remove the feed pipe from the throttle body.

3. Disconnect the throttle control cable.

4. Remove the vacuum hoses to the throttle bodies.

5. Remove the throttle body sensor and idle air control valve connectors.

6. Remove the coolant hoses from the throttle body.

7. Remove the throttle body mounting screws.

7. Remove the throttle body mounting screws.


8. Remove the throttle body and remove the gasket.

9. Remove the TP sensor.

10. Remove the idle air control (IAC) valve.

10. Remove the idle air control (IAC) valve.


Installation



Caution: Use caution when removing old gasket material from machined aluminum surfaces. Sharp tools may damage the surfaces in contact with the gasket.


1. Clean the gasket contact surfaces on the intake manifold.



Note: The throttle body can be cleaned in cold cleaning solution after disassembly. The throttle position sensor and idle air control valve should not come into contact with the solution, as this may cause damage.


2. Clean the throttle body.

3. Install TP sensor 4 Install IAC valve.
