Disassembly procedure
1. Install the bearing separator (2) onto the rear secondary shaft (1) of the transfer case.
2. Using a press with J-5590, install the crankcase (3) and bearing (4) onto the secondary shaft.
3. Using a press with DT-48075, install the transfer case secondary shaft seal (5).
4. Using a press with DT-48077, install the transfer case rear secondary shaft oil deflector (1) onto the flange (2).
5. Using a press with J-5590, install the transfer case rear secondary shaft flange (2).
6. Install J-08614-A to the rear secondary shaft flange (2).
7. Using a 30mm socket ratchet wrench or J-29873, install the transfer case rear output drive gear nut (1).
Tighten
Tighten the nut (1) of the transfer case rear output drive gear to a torque of 235 N·m (173 ft·lbs).
