Helpful Hint: The hood is quite heavy and bulky, so remove and install it with an assistant.
1. Open the hood and place it on the support.

2. Disconnect the washer hose from the fitting and move it to the side.

3. Using a screwdriver, press the lock and remove the washer hose from the holder.
Helpful Hint: If you are removing the hood for purposes other than replacement, mark its position relative to the hinges, for example by tracing them with a felt-tip pen.

4. Remove the hood from the support and, holding the hood (an assistant should do this), unscrew the four mounting bolts (two on each side) to the brackets and remove the hood.

5. To remove the soundproofing trim, use a screwdriver to pry...

6. ...and remove the hood trim mounting pins.

Note: The soundproofing trim is attached to the hood with eleven pins.
7. Remove the soundproofing hood trim.
8. Install the hood and screw in the bolts without tightening them.
9. When covering the hood, install it so that the gaps between the hood and the fenders are the same on both sides, and the gap between the upper edge of the radiator frame and the edge of the hood is uniform along its entire length.
10. Carefully lift the hood and finally tighten the bolts that secure it.
