1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Loosen the wheel nuts.
3. If you are replacing the stabilizer bar without using a lift, lift the front of the car with a jack and place it on supports.

4. Set the steering wheel to the straight-ahead position.
5. Remove the front wheels.

6. Remove the outer tie rod end pivot pin from the steering knuckle boss (see "Replacing the outer tie rod end").

7. In the passenger compartment, under the pedal assembly, unscrew the clamping bolt of the lower universal joint terminal connection (see "Removal and installation the steering column").
Helpful Hint: Mark in any way possible the relative positions of the terminal connection of the lower cardan joint of the intermediate shaft and the steering gear shaft.
In addition, the splines of the steering shaft and the splines of the lower universal joint have chamfers that must be aligned during installation.

8. Remove the engine splash guards (see "Removal and installation engine mudguards").

9. Remove the four bolts securing the amplifier to the subframe brackets.

10. Remove the support bracket, unscrew the two nuts securing the exhaust pipe to the neutralizer (see "Removal and installation the catalytic converter") and lower the intake pipe down.

11. Unscrew the two nuts securing the intake pipe flange to the additional muffler.
12. Disconnect the flanges of the inlet pipe and the additional muffler and remove the sealing gasket from the studs of the additional muffler flange.

13. Remove the intake pipe together with the amplifier.

14. Unscrew the nut securing the lower strut hinge pin to the stabilizer bar, using a second wrench to hold the pin from turning.
15. Using the cooling fan lugs, tie the radiator and condenser to the upper cross member of the radiator frame.

16. Remove the four bolts securing the radiator bracket support to the subframe (two on the right and two on the left side).

17. Loosen the nuts of the front...

18. ...and the rear supports of the power unit suspension to the subframe, holding the bolts from turning.
19. Remove the power unit support mounting bolts.
20. Install the support under the subframe.

21. Remove the front bolts securing the subframe to the body.

22. ...and the rear bolts securing the subframe to the brackets.
23. Lower the rear of the subframe slightly to gain access to the stabilizer bar mounting bolts.

24. Remove the four bolts securing the stabilizer bar brackets to the subframe (two on the right and two on the left side).
25. Remove the bar assembly with brackets and cushions by turning it slightly.
Note: The stabilizer brackets are replaced only as a set with the stabilizer bar.
26. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the bolts and nuts to the torque specified in appendix 1.
Recommendation: After repairing the front suspension shock absorber strut, check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment angles (see "Checking and adjusting wheel alignment angles"). Use the services of workshops that have special equipment.
