Remove the steering wheel (see Removal the steering wheel) and the steering column switch connector (see Removal the steering column paddle shifters, coil cable drum and switch connector).
After unscrewing the four bolts securing the steering column protective cover (see Removal the instrument panel)…

…we remove the casing.
Disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the ignition switch (see Replacing the contact group, immobilizer control unit and ignition switch).

We remove the wire harness clamps from the holes in the bracket.
Having unscrewed the bolt of the terminal connection of the fork of the upper cardan joint of the intermediate shaft with the steering shaft, we remove the fork of the joint from the steering shaft (see Removal the intermediate steering shaft).
On vehicles with variable power steering, remove the steering wheel angle sensor from the steering shaft.
Using a 12 mm head with an extension, unscrew..

…two nuts securing the column to the instrument panel frame…

…two bolts and two nuts securing the steering column to the front shield bracket.

We remove the steering column assembly with the ignition switch.
Using a chisel, loosen the ignition switch mounting bolts (whose heads were cut off during installation)…

…we unscrew the bolts with sliding pliers.

We remove the mounting bracket..

…and the ignition switch.
We assemble and install the steering column in the reverse order. We tighten the new ignition switch mounting bolts until their heads are cut off.
