Removing the steering wheel (see Removing the steering wheel) and steering column connector (see Removing the Paddles, Coiled Cable Drum and Switch Connector).
Loosen the four screws securing the steering column cover (see Removing the instrument panel) …
... remove the casing.
Disconnect the wiring harness from the ignition switch (see Replacing the contact group, immobilizer control unit and ignition switch).
We remove the clamps of the wiring harnesses from the holes in the bracket.
Having unscrewed the bolt of the terminal connection of the yoke of the upper cardan joint of the intermediate shaft with the steering shaft, remove the yoke from the steering shaft (see Removing the intermediate steering shaft).
On vehicles with variable power steering, remove the steering wheel sensor from the steering shaft.
We turn off the "12" head with an extension cord..
... two nuts securing the column to the instrument panel frame..
... two bolts and two nuts securing the steering column to the bulkhead bracket.
Remove the steering column assembly with the ignition switch.
Loosen the ignition switch mounting bolts with a chisel (whose heads are cut off during installation) …
... we turn off the bolts with sliding pliers.
Removing the bracket..
...and the ignition switch.
We assemble and install the steering column in reverse order. We tighten the new ignition switch mounting bolts until their heads are sheared.
