Table 7-13. Coolant Temperature Gauge Sensor Test Data
Oil pressure warning light sensor. The sensor is installed on the engine cylinder head. The sensor contacts should close and open at a pressure of 20-60 kPa (0.2-0.6 kgf/cm²).
Fuel level indicator sensor. The sensor is combined with an electric fuel pump installed in the fuel tank. The sensor has a variable resistor made of nichrome wire. The movable contact of the resistor is moved by a lever with a float.
The data for checking the fuel level sensor are shown in Figure 7-46 and Table 7-14. At the control fuel levels, the sensor resistance should correspond to the values specified in the table. The resistance measurement should be carried out between contacts "1" and "3" of the EGP module connector.

Speed sensor
Microelectronic, operates on the basis of the "Hall effect" and produces rectangular voltage pulses. The output voltage of the low level pulse should be no more than 1 V, and the high level - no less than 5 V.
One kilometer of the traveled path corresponds to 6000 sensor pulses.
