Removal
Chevrolet Tahoe
1. Remove the front and rear side door sill trims (see chapter "Body").
2. Loosen the lower bolt securing the pretensioner to the body. Tightening torque 55 Nm.
3. Remove the upper trim of the rear pillar (see chapter "Body").
4. Route the first row rear seat belt through the opening in the trim.
5. Loosen the upper guide mounting bolt. Tightening torque 55 Nm.
6. Loosen the pretensioner mounting bolt. Tightening torque 55 Nm.
7. Remove the cover from the lower seat belt mounting bolt to the floor.
8. Loosen the lower bolt. Tightening torque 55 Nm.
9. Remove the first row rear seat belt together with the pretensioner.
10. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Avalanche
1. Fold the rear seat.
2. Remove the rear side door sill trim.
3. Remove the side glass.
4. Remove the rear pillar trim.
5. Loosen the upper seat belt mounting bolt. Tightening torque 53 N·m.
6. Route the seat belt through the hole in the rear pillar trim.
7. Loosen the lower seat belt and belt pretensioner mounting bolts and remove them. Tightening torque 53 N·m.
Installation
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
