Removal



Besides Cadillac



1. Remove the front floor console.

2. Remove the upper instrument panel trim (1).

2. Remove the upper instrument panel trim (1).


3. Loosen the screws (2) securing the instrument panel door frame. Tightening torque 22 Nm.

4. Remove the door frame.

5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Cadillac



1. Disable the passive safety system.

2. Remove the front floor console.

3. Remove the windshield pillar trim.

4. Remove the panel with the windshield defroster grilles.

5. Remove the upper instrument panel trim.

6. Remove the side covers of the instrument panel.

7. Remove the ventilation system deflector from the left side of the instrument panel.

8. Remove the headlight switch bezel.

9. Remove the instrument cluster.

10. Remove the knee support.

11. Remove the steering column.

12. Remove the central part of the instrument panel bezel.

13. Remove the center instrument panel trim.

14. Remove the watch.

15. Remove the auxiliary equipment switch.

16. Remove the heater/air conditioner control unit.

17. Remove the radio.

18. Remove the instrument panel door.

19. Remove the instrument panel access cover.



20. Unscrew the four nuts (1) securing the lower part of the instrument panel. Tightening torque 2 Nm.

21 Loosen the screws (2) securing the lower part of the instrument panel. Tightening torque 2 Nm.

21 Loosen the screws (2) securing the lower part of the instrument panel. Tightening torque 2 Nm.


22. Lower the lower part of the instrument panel and disconnect the wiring connectors.

Note: Remember the wiring route.


23. Using two people, remove the lower part of the instrument panel.

Installation



24. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
