Removal procedure
1. Remove the rear bumper trim. Go to "Rear bumper trim" in this section.
2. Unscrew the bolts and remove the shock absorber.
Installation procedure
Note: Direct contact of dissimilar metals may result in rapid corrosion. Use proper fasteners to avoid premature corrosion.
1. Install the shock absorber using bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the rear impact bar nuts to 22 Nm (16 lb-ft).
2. Install the rear bumper trim. Go to "Rear bumper trim" in this section.
