Removal procedure



1. Remove the instrument panel from the vehicle. See section 9E, "Instruments/Driver Information System".

2. Remove the air conditioning unit from the vehicle. Follow section 7B, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Systems Control.

3. Remove the thermistor wiring harness connector.

3. Remove the thermistor wiring harness connector.


4. Remove the ventilation connecting rod from the mode switching drive.

4. Remove the ventilation connecting rod from the mode switching drive.


5. Loosen the screws and remove the side cover of the heater heat exchanger.



5. Loosen the screws and remove the side cover of the heater heat exchanger.


6. Remove the heater heat exchanger.

6. Remove the heater heat exchanger.


Installation procedure



1. Install the heater heat exchanger into the housing.

1. Install the heater heat exchanger into the housing.


2. Install the heater heat exchanger side cover back into place.

3. Tighten and secure the heater heat exchanger cover screws to the air conditioner unit.

3. Tighten and secure the heater heat exchanger cover screws to the air conditioner unit.


4. Install the screw and connecting rod of the ventilation mode flap.



4. Install the screw and connecting rod of the ventilation mode flap.


5. Connect the thermistor connector.

6. Install the air conditioner unit. Follow section 7B, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Systems Control.

7. Replace the instrument panel. See section 9E, "Instruments/Driver Information System".
