Removal procedure
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the lower glove box panel cover. See section 9E, "Instruments/Driver Information System".
3. Disconnect the resistor electrical connector.
4. Remove the mounting screws from the resistor.
5. Remove the resistor from the heater/air distributor housing by gently pulling the resistor downward.
Installation procedure
1. Install the new resistor into the heater/air distributor housing and tighten the screws.
Tighten
Tighten the fan resistor screws to 6 Nm (53 lbs.in).
2. Connect the resistor electrical connector.
3. Connect the negative battery cable.
4. Make sure the fan is functioning properly.
5. Install the glove box panel lower cover. See section 9E, "Instruments/Driver Information System".
