Power steering controller for variable speed-dependent power steering (SSPS) (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure



1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the driver's knee bolster See section 9G, "Interior Trim".

3. Disconnect the SSPS controller connector.

4. Remove the SSPS controller from the bracket by sliding the controller upward.

4. Remove the SSPS controller from the bracket by sliding the controller upward.


5. If necessary, remove the bracket by unscrewing the mounting bolts.

Installation procedure



1. Install the controller bracket using bolts.

Tighten

Tighten the SSPS controller bracket bolts to 10 N·m (7 ft·lbs).

Tighten the SSPS controller bracket bolts to 10 N·m (7 ft·lbs).


2. Install the SSPS controller onto the bracket.

3. Connect the SSPS controller connector.

4. Install the driver's knee bolster. See section 9G, "Interior Trim".

5. Connect the negative battery cable.
