Removal procedure
1. Raise the vehicle and place it on the supports provided for this purpose.
2. Remove the front exhaust pipe. Depending on the engine type, See Section 1G1 or 1G2, 1G3 "Engine exhaust system".
3. Remove the rear mount assembly of the transmission with the main gear. Depending on the engine type, See Section 1B or 1C1, 1C2 "Engine Mechanical Part".
4. For all-wheel drive, remove the transfer case See Section 5D "Transfer Case"

5. Pump out the fluid from the power steering reservoir.
6. Disconnect the power steering hydraulic cylinder pipes from the steering gear at the valve end. Replace the O-rings if necessary.

7. Disconnect the power steering hydraulic cylinder pipes from the steering gear at the cylinder side.
8. Remove the steering gear hydraulic cylinder pipes from the vehicle.

Installation procedure
1. Lubricate all new O-rings with power steering fluid.
2. Place the O-rings into the housing and install the steering gear hydraulic cylinder tubes.
3. Connect the power steering hydraulic cylinder pipes to the steering gear at the valve side.
Tighten
Tighten the hydraulic cylinder line fittings on the valve side to 19 N·m (14 ft·lbs).
4. Connect the power steering hydraulic cylinder pipes to the steering gear at the cylinder end.
Tighten
Tighten the hydraulic cylinder line fittings on the cylinder side to 19 N·m (14 ft·lbs).
5. Lower the car.

6. For all-wheel drive, install a transfer case. See Section 5D "Transfer Case"
7. Install the rear mount unit of the transmission with the final drive assembly. Depending on the engine type, See Section 1B or 1C1, 1C2 "Engine Mechanical Part".
