Door speakers — removal and installation (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the door trim panel. See Section 9G, Interior Trim.

3. Remove the screws and door speaker.

4. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation procedure

Note: Direct contact of dissimilar metals may result in rapid corrosion. Use proper fasteners to avoid premature corrosion.

1. Connect the electrical connector.

2. Install the door speaker using screws.

Tighten

Tighten the door speaker screws to 2 Nm (18 lbs.in).

3. Install the door trim panel. See Section 9G, Interior Trim.

4. Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
