Underbody catalytic converter (UCC) (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure

1. Remove the gasket and nuts (3 positions) securing the front muffler pipe to the underbody catalytic converter (UCC).



2. Remove the gasket and nuts securing the underbody catalytic converter (UCC) to the front muffler pipe.

3. Remove the catalytic converter, located on the bottom, as an assembly.

Installation procedure

1. Install the gasket and nuts securing the underbody catalytic converter (UCC) to the front muffler pipe.

Tighten

Tighten the underbody catalytic converter to front muffler mounting nuts to 30 N·m (22 lb-ft).



2. Install the gasket and nuts (3 positions) securing the exhaust pipe to the underbody catalytic converter (UCC).



Tighten

Tighten the exhaust pipe to underbody catalytic converter mounting nuts to 30 N·m (22 lb-ft).
