To avoid burns, it is recommended to start work after the exhaust system has cooled down.
Disconnect the oxygen concentration sensor wiring harness from the engine management system wiring harness (Removal the oxygen concentration control sensor).
We disconnect the flanges of the intermediate pipe and the catalytic converter and remove the sealing gasket (see Removal the intermediate pipe).

Using a 12 mm wrench or head, unscrew the three bolts securing the heat shield…

...and then we remove it, removing the wiring block of the oxygen concentration control sensor from the hole.
Using penetrating liquid, wet the nuts of the studs that secure the catalytic converter flange to the exhaust manifold flange.

Using a 14 mm socket with an extension, unscrew the three nuts securing the flange studs of the catalytic converter and the exhaust manifold.

We remove the catalytic converter and the sealing gasket.
We install the catalytic converter in the reverse order.
We replace the sealing gaskets in the joints of the flanges of the intermediate pipe with the catalytic converter and the catalytic converter with the exhaust manifold with new ones.
