Adsorber of the gasoline vapor recovery system (SUPB) in assembly (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure

Warning! The canister and vacuum hoses contain fuel vapors. Do not smoke or work with open flames in the hazardous area.

1. Disconnect the hoses that remove gasoline vapor from the canister.



2. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the evaporative emission system (EVAP) canister purge hose from the EVAP canister filter.



3. Loosen the fastening nuts of the bracket of the adsorber of the gasoline vapor recovery system (SUPB) and remove the SUPB adsorber assembly.

4. Disconnect the SUPB adsorber from the bracket.

5. Remove the carbon filter.

Installation procedure

1. Install the SUPB adsorber on the bracket.

2. Install the ECU adsorber assembly.

Tighten

Tighten the evaporative emission canister bracket mounting nuts to 10 N·m (88 lb-in).



3. Connect the purge hose of the EGR canister to the EGR canister filter.



4. Connect the purge fuel hoses of the canister to the canister.
