DTC C0393(0B)



Description of the scheme



If, when monitoring the shunt current on the coupling coil in the clutch assembly, it is detected that the current conductivity exceeds a specified value, the system is permanently disabled.

Error code descriptions



This diagnostic procedure addresses the following fault codes:
  • DTC C0393(0B) Rear Axle Clutch Solenoid Valve Control Circuit (overcurrent)

Conditions for setting DTC



For DTC C0393(0B) to set, all of the following conditions must be met:
  • The supply voltage is greater than 8 volts, the current in the winding is greater than 6 volts, and these conditions persist for more than 40 ms.
  • The supply voltage is less than 8 volts, the current in the winding is more than 6 volts.

Actions taken when setting DTC


  • DTC code C0393(0B) is written to memory.
  • AWD system constantly disconnects, AWD indicator light is on.




Conditions for clearing DTC


  • If the conditions that caused DTC C0393(0B) to be stored no longer exist, the diagnostic code can be cleared using the appropriate diagnostic tool.
  • A diagnostic trouble code that has not been stored in memory for 100 driving cycles is cleared from the history data.

  • DTC C0393(06) Rear Axle Clutch Solenoid Valve Control Circuit (wiring)

Conditions for setting DTC



For DTC C0393(06) to set, all of the following conditions must be met:
  • The output duty cycle is greater than 90% and the winding current is less than 0.1 A.
  • The output duty cycle is less than 10% and the winding current is greater than 3.0 A.
  • The supply voltage is greater than 8 volts, there is no overcurrent error, and these conditions persist for more than 2 seconds.

  • DTC code C0393(06) is written to memory.
  • AWD system constantly disconnects, AWD indicator light is on.
