Removal and installation the parking brake lever (Chevrolet Cruze J300)

You will need: the tools needed to remove the floor tunnel lining (see "Removal and installation the floor tunnel lining"), as well as a 10 mm wrench and a flat-blade screwdriver.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the rear section of the floor tunnel trim (see "Removal and installation the floor tunnel lining").

3. Disconnect the parking brake cable end from the equalizer.

4. Unscrew the mounting bolt...

5. ...and remove the parking brake indicator light switch.

6. Press the clamps...

7. ...and disconnect the wiring harness from the parking brake indicator switch.

8. Loosen the four nuts securing the parking brake lever and remove the lever.



9. Before installing on the vehicle, lubricate the toothed sector of the lever with consistent grease.

10. Install the parking brake lever and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.

Note: Before installing the parking brake lever on the vehicle, lubricate the toothed sector of the lever with grease.


11. Adjust the parking brake drive (see "Adjusting the parking brake").
