Loosen the wheel bearing nut (see Removing the front wheel drives). We hang and remove the wheel, securely fix the car on a factory-made stand. Removing the brake disc (see Removing the front wheel brake disc). Disconnect the ball joint from the steering knuckle (see Removing the lever).
We derive the shank of the outer hinge housing of the wheel drive from the hub (see Removing the front wheel drives). In order not to damage the cover of the outer hinge of the drive during further operations, we lay a rag between the steering knuckle and the cover.
The hub bearing can be replaced directly on the car or on a workbench, having previously dismantled the steering knuckle.
To dismantle the bearing on the car, insert the ball joint pin into the eye of the steering knuckle. We insert the coupling bolt and bait the nut.
We insert two mounting blades between the hub flange and the steering knuckle.
Leaning with the ends of the blades on the shoulder of the steering knuckle, we press the blades on the hub flange..
... and press the hub out of the bearing.
Using special pliers, we compress the retaining ring of the bearing and remove it from the groove of the steering knuckle.
Using a cup puller, press the bearing out of the steering knuckle socket.
With another way to replace the hub bearing, we disconnect the shock absorber housing from the steering knuckle (see Removal of the shock absorber and its disassembly) and tie rod end (see Tie Rod End Replacement).
Disconnect the ball joint from the steering knuckle..
... and remove the steering knuckle assembly with the hub.
With a "5" hexagon, we unscrew the two screws securing the brake shield to the fist..
...and remove the shield.
Having fixed the fist in a vice, with a hammer through a soft metal drift we strike the end of the hub and knock the hub out of the bearing.
Using pliers, remove the bearing circlip from the steering knuckle groove.
We press the bearing out of the steering knuckle socket with a cup puller..
... or knock out with a mandrel of a suitable size.
If the inner ring of the bearing remains on the hub, we press it..
... prying on both sides with mounting blades..
…or using a two-jaw puller.
Remove the bearing inner race.
Before pressing in a new bearing, we clean its nest in the fist.
Using a cup puller, we press the bearing into a fist, applying force to the outer ring of the bearing.
In the absence of a puller, an old bearing can be used as a mandrel.
We install a retaining ring in the groove of the fist.
When pressing the hub, we rely on the cup of the puller on the inner ring of the bearing.
Further assembly is carried out in the reverse order.
