USEFUL ADVICE: To replace the bearing, it is convenient to use a puller to press out and press in the hub bearings.
1. Remove the steering knuckle, see «Removal and installation of a rotary fist of a forward suspension bracket»).
2. Remove the bearing circlip.
3. Press the hub out of the inner race of the bearing with a press using an appropriately sized mandrel (e.g. socket head).
4. Most likely, the outer half of the inner race of the bearing will remain on the hub. Use a puller to remove it from the hub.
5. Install the bearing puller, press and remove the bearing outer ring from the knuckle.
6. If a puller is not available, knock out the bearing using a drift of suitable diameter, as a pressed bearing cannot be reused.
7. After cleaning the parts, lubricate the inside of the knuckle seat and the outside of the hub with a light coat of grease.
8. Press the new bearing into the steering knuckle housing until it stops.
WARNING: When pressing the bearing into the knuckle housing, force should be applied only to the outer race of the bearing, otherwise the bearing may be damaged.
9. Install the retaining ring in the groove of the knuckle socket. Make sure that the ends of the retaining ring do not block the hole for installing the wheel speed sensor.
10. Press the hub into the bearing until it stops, fixing the bearing inner ring with the support.
WARNING: If the inner ring of the bearing is not fixed with the support when pressing the hub, it can be damaged.
11. Establish a rotary fist in an order, the return to removal.
12. Check and, if necessary, adjust the wheel alignment. Use the services of workshops with special equipment.
