Removal
1. Disconnect the tailgate wiring connector (1). If the vehicle is equipped with a rear view camera, disconnect the camera connector under the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the cables (2) of the side opening limiter.
3. With the help of an assistant, remove the tailgate.
Installation
4. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Adjustment
1. Close the tailboard and determine the amount of tailboard offset.
2. If adjustment of the side position is necessary, remove the side.
3. Mark the position of the side hinges relative to the body.
4. Loosen the hinge mounting bolts and move them to the desired position (up/down or forward/backward).
5. Temporarily tighten the hinge bolts. Install the tailboard and check for correct adjustments.
6. Finally tighten the hinge mounting bolts. Tightening torque 40 Nm.
