Rear pillar molding (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Removal

Extended wheelbase

1. Disable the passive safety system.

2. Remove the rear side door sill trim panel.

3. Remove the access cover (1) to the mounting screw (2).



4. Loosen the screw (2). Tightening torque 2 Nm.

5. Remove the D-shaped seat belt guide from the belt height adjuster. Tightening torque 43 N·m.

6. Pull the belt out of the rear pillar molding (3).

7. Pull the molding out of the 10 clips (4).

8. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Standard wheelbase

1. Disable the passive safety system.

2. Remove the rear side door sill trim panel.

3. Fold the rear seat and move it forward.

4. Remove the rear side door seal from the rear pillar molding.

5. Remove the access cover (1) to the mounting screw (2).



6. Loosen the screw (2). Tightening torque 2 Nm.



7. Disconnect the rear folding seat wiring connector.

8. Remove the D-shaped seat belt guide from the belt height adjuster. Tightening torque 35 N·m.

9. Pull the belt out of the rear pillar molding (3).

10. Pull the molding out of the 10 clips (4).

Installation

11. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
