Rear pillar molding (Avalanche/Escalade EXT) (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Removal

1. Disable the passive safety system.

2. Remove the rear side door sill trim panel.

3. Remove the access cover (1) to the mounting screw (2).



4. Loosen the screw (2). Tightening torque 2 Nm.

5. Remove the access cover (3) to the seat belt anchor bolt (4).

6. Loosen the bolt (4). Tightening torque 70 Nm.

7. Remove the D-shaped seat belt guide from the belt height adjuster. Tightening torque 43 N·m.

8. Pull the belt out of the rear pillar molding (5).

9. Pull the molding out of the five clips (6).

Installation

10. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
