Since the cruise control system is quite complex and requires special devices and methods to check it, repairs should be carried out in a workshop. However, the vehicle owner has the ability to perform simple electrical and vacuum connection checks to troubleshoot minor problems. These operations include:
- a) Checking the integrity of the wires and the reliability of the connections of the drive switches of the cruise control system.
- b) Checking the system fuses.
- c) Since the cruise control system is a vacuum type system, it is important that all vacuum switches, hoses and connectors are in good condition. Check for tight connections, cracks and leaks in the vacuum hoses in the engine compartment.
