In addition, an important parameter of the compressor is the method of lubrication of its parts. Low-capacity compressors usually make do with the lubricant that was installed at the factory (oil-free compressors). A compressor with higher productivity uses oil, which is poured into its crankcase (oil compressors). For frequent use, choose oil compressors, as they have a longer service life compared to "oil-free" ones, but they are also more expensive. For connecting some pneumatic devices (for example, a paint gun) an oil separator is required.
