1. Wheel rotation should be performed at specified intervals or when there are signs of uneven wear.
2. Radial tires should be rotated in a specific order (see illustrations).
15.2a. Recommended procedure for rotating four wheels with radial tires with an indefinite direction of rotation
15.2b. Recommended rotation procedure for four wheels with radial tires with a specific direction of rotation
3. Refer to the description of the technique for lifting the vehicle with a jack in the relevant subsection at the beginning of this manual. If the brake system is being inspected at the same time, the handbrake should not be tightened as is prescribed when only changing wheels. Place chocks under the wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
4. It is preferable to lift the vehicle so that all four wheels are off the ground. This can be achieved by raising the vehicle on a lift or by lifting each corner of the vehicle one at a time and installing vertical supports. Always support your vehicle on four stands to ensure stability.
5. After rotating the wheels, check and adjust the tire pressure if necessary. Finally, tighten the wheel nuts to the required torque.
