1. Wheels should be rotated at prescribed intervals or when there are signs of uneven wear.
2. Radial tires should be rotated in a specific order (see illustrations).
15.2a. Recommended rotation procedure for four wheels with radial tires with an indeterminate direction of rotation
15.2b. Recommended rotation order for four wheels with radial tires with a specific direction of rotation
3. Refer to the description of the procedure for lifting a vehicle with a jack in the appropriate subsection at the beginning of this manual. If the brake system is being inspected at the same time, you should not apply the handbrake as prescribed when just changing wheels. Chock the wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
4. It is preferable to lift the car so that all four wheels come off the ground. This can be achieved by raising the car on a lift or by lifting each corner of the car in turn and installing vertical supports. Always place the vehicle on four jack stands to ensure stability.
5. After rotating the wheels, check and, if necessary, adjust the tire pressure. Finally, tighten the wheel nuts to the required torque.
