Rear wheel speed sensor (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure

1. Raise and secure the vehicle.

2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.



3. Remove the brake disc.

4. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector.



5. Loosen the wheel speed sensor mounting bolt.

6. Remove the wheel speed sensor through the brake shield.

Installation procedure

1. Install the wheel speed sensor through the drum brake shield to the wheel bearing/hub assembly.

2. Insert the wheel speed sensor wiring harness bushing into the brake shield.

3. Install the wheel speed sensor mounting bolt.

Tighten

Tighten the bolt to 8 N·m (71 lb-in).



4. Connect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector.

5. Install the brake disc.

6. Install the wheel and tire assembly.

7. Lower the car.
