Additional central brake light (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the upper trim panel of the rear hatch. See Section 9S, Rear of the Body.

3. Disconnect the electrical connector.

4. Remove the CHMSL lamp.

Installation procedure

1. Install the CHMSL lamp for replacement.

2. Connect the electrical connector.

Note: Direct contact of dissimilar metals may result in rapid corrosion. Use proper fasteners to avoid premature corrosion.

3. Install the tailgate upper trim. See Section 9S, Rear of the Body.

4. Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
