Volume
1. MP3, movies, FM/AM, CD
The volume level is adjusted by turning the corresponding button on the audio system or by pressing the switch button on the steering wheel.
Pressing the volume button mutes the sound. When pressed again, the sound is restored.
To mute the sound, press and hold the volume button for 3 seconds. When the system is turned off, the climate control system data is displayed on the screen.
2. Navigation
The voice guidance volume level changes only in navigation mode. You can also turn off voice guidance.
You can adjust the volume of the navigation messages relative to other sound sources.
Screen
By pressing the DIM button, the screen backlight can be dimmed up to 70%.
The brightness of the backlight has 3 degrees of adjustment. (On → 50% → 70% → On) Press and hold the DIM key for 3 seconds to turn off the display. When the screen is off, the GPS location function continues to work.
The screen turns back on when any key is pressed.
Attention: The brightness of the screen is adjusted automatically depending on the ambient light.
Do not place foreign objects on the instrument panel.
Touch Screen: Calibrate the touch screen.
System Information: Displays information about the navigation system software.
System Upgrade (system update): Navigation Upgrade (updating navigation information) User Settings: Set up the system according to user requirements.
Touch screen
You can calibrate the touch screen if it does not respond properly to your touch.
Touch the center of the screen with the stylus. When the object moves, touch the stylus to another object. Follow these steps each time to complete the calibration process.
System Information (system information)
The current system version is displayed.
- H/W: hardware
- S/W: software
- O/S: GPS operating system: GPS firmware
System Upgrade (system update)
Insert the SD card containing the software update into the SD card slot. (To obtain a software update SD card, contact an authorized GM dealer.)
Press the MENU hardware button and the Settings touch button.
Click the System Upgrade button (system update).
Click the UPGRADE button (UPDATE) to update the system. If you do not want to update a specific system, clear the checkbox to disable the update feature.
Caution: To avoid damage to the system, do not remove the SD card, turn off the engine, or use the system while the system is being updated.
Navigation Upgrade (updating navigation information)
Insert the SD card containing the software update into the SD card slot. (You can purchase a navigation system update SD card from an authorized GM dealer.)
Press the MENU hardware button and the Settings touch button.
Click the System Upgrade button (system update).
Click the UPGRADE button (UPDATE) to update navigation information.
Attention: The update process takes up to 25 minutes, depending on the size of the files.
User Preference (user settings)
For ease of use, the navigation system can be customized according to the user's requirements. You can adjust the display settings, language, time zone. To confirm your choice, click the Save button (save).
Units
Allows you to change the units of measure that are used in the system.
- Distance: miles or kilometers
- Temperature: degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit Volume: liters or gallons
Note: If the gallon is selected as the volume unit, the distance unit in the "Route information" mile will be automatically selected.
Language (language)
Select the desired language. The system supports 11 languages for displaying text in the main menu. The navigation system menu also supports 11 languages for displaying text and voice messages.
Timezone
Use the button to select the desired time zone. Check the box next to Daylight Savings), if it is needed. (Switching to daylight saving time does not occur automatically.)
