Removal procedure



1. Raise and secure the vehicle.

2. Remove the right front wheel. Follow section 2E, Tires and Wheels.

3. Remove the front engine shield from the right front wheel side. Follow section 9R, Front End.

3. Remove the front engine shield from the right front wheel side. Follow section 9R, Front End.


4. Install the appropriate fixture to the drive belt tensioner.

5. Turn the drive belt tensioner clockwise to loosen the belt tension.

5. Turn the drive belt tensioner clockwise to loosen the belt tension.


6. Remove the drive belt.

7. Clean and inspect the belt and mating surfaces of all pulleys. See Section 1A, General Engine Data.

Installation procedure



1. Install the belt on all pulleys.

2. Install the appropriate fixture to the drive belt tensioner.

3. Turn the drive belt tensioner clockwise to loosen the tensioner.

3. Turn the drive belt tensioner clockwise to loosen the tensioner.


4. Install the drive belt.

5. Check the correct installation of the drive belt and its alignment.
