Decorative engine cover (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure

1. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the flexible intake air duct from the mass air flow (MAF) sensor.



2. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the intake air duct from the throttle body.

3. Disconnect the retainer and disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose from the intake air duct.

4. Remove the air intake duct assembly.



5. Remove the bolts and nuts securing the decorative engine cover.

6. Remove the decorative engine cover.

Installation procedure

1. Install the decorative engine cover.

Tighten

Tighten the engine cover mounting bolts and nuts to 8 N·m (71 lb-in.).

2. Install the air intake duct assembly.

3. Secure the released clamps.
