Air cleaner unit (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Disconnect the mass air flow (MAF) sensor connector.

3. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the flexible air intake duct from the MAF sensor housing.



4. Remove the air cleaner housing screws.

5. Remove the housing from the ball joint and dismantle the air filter assembly.

Installation procedure

1. Install the lower air filter housing onto the ball stud.

2. Install the air cleaner housing screws.

Tighten

Tighten the air cleaner housing bolt to 6 N·m (53 lb-in.).

3. Install the air intake duct assembly.

4. Secure the released clamps.
