Accessory Drive Belt Tensioner Assembly (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure



1. Remove the accessory drive belt. See "Auxiliary Drive Belt" in this section.

2. Remove the accessory drive belt tensioner.

3. Disconnect the breather hose and the positive crankcase ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover.

Note: The accessory drive belt tensioner pulley is not serviceable separately. If this pulley is found to be faulty, the entire tensioner must be replaced.


Caution! Under no circumstances should a damaged accessory drive belt tensioner pulley be repaired.

Installation procedure



1. Install the accessory drive belt tensioner (1).

2. Install the bolts (2) of the accessory drive belt tensioner.

Tighten

Tighten the accessory drive belt tensioner mounting bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb-ft).

Tighten the accessory drive belt tensioner mounting bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb-ft).
