Removal



1. Open the hood.

Early models



2. Unscrew the bolt securing the cover to the intake manifold.

2. Grasp the front of the upper engine cover and lift it until the rubber cushions come off the studs.

3. Remove the top cover from the holder hinges.

4. If necessary, unscrew the holder mounting bolts and remove the holder.

Installation



1. If removed, install the top cover holder. Tighten the mounting bolts. Tightening torque 5 Nm.

2. Place the top cover into the holder hinges.

Early models



3. Tighten the cover mounting bolt. Tightening torque 10 Nm.

Late models



3. Align the holes in the lid cushions with the studs.

4. Press lightly on the lid in the area of the rubber cushions.

All models



5. Close the hood.
