Removal and installation the right engine mount (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Early models



1. Remove the right half-block exhaust manifold.

2. Unscrew the bolts securing the right support to the bracket. Tightening torque 65 Nm.

2. Unscrew the bolts securing the right support to the bracket. Tightening torque 65 Nm.


3. Raise the vehicle and place safety posts under the frame.

4. Remove the right wheel.

5. Remove the right wheel arch liner.

6. If installed, remove the engine protection.

Caution: Do not lift the engine by placing the jack under the crankshaft pulley or under the oil pan.


7. Raise the engine using a screw jack.

8. Loosen the bolts securing the support to the engine. Tightening torque 50 Nm.

9. Remove the right engine mount.

10. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Late models



1. Remove the air filter outlet duct.



2. Remove the front drive axle.

3. Loosen the front axle bracket mounting bolts and remove the bracket. Tightening torque 90 Nm.

4. Remove the exhaust manifold of the right half-block.

5. Remove the air conditioning compressor bracket.

6. Loosen the bolts (1) securing the support to the frame. Tightening torque 65 Nm.

6. Loosen the bolts (1) securing the support to the frame. Tightening torque 65 Nm.


Note: When installing, tighten the middle bolt first, then the outer bolts.


Caution: Do not lift the engine by placing the jack under the crankshaft pulley or under the oil pan.


7. Place a screw jack under the technological tide (1) of the engine block.

8. Through the opening of the right wheel arch, unscrew the bolts (1) securing the right support to the engine. Tightening torque 50 Nm.

10. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
